I had lost weight during my stay in the hospital.

It was not a healthy kind of weight loss.

So I began walking every day.

I added a little strength training as well.

My body was recovering.

I felt better.

I moved better.

Then one day, a small conflict in a personal relationship unsettled me.

Soon after, I caught a cold.

I thought it was nothing serious.

I was wrong.

The fever went away.

But the swelling around the lymph nodes that had been removed from my right groin remained.

Walking became difficult.

Even sitting was uncomfortable.

I realized that what seemed small to my mind was not small to my body.

Perhaps the body is more honest than we imagine.
