This week, I found myself writing here again for the first time in more than a month.
At first, I hesitated.
Perhaps it is like stepping into a swimming pool before the water has fully warmed.
The first moment takes courage.
Once you are in, it feels just right.
There is still a project I hope to build here someday.
For now, it remains on hold.
The work that accumulated during my surgery and recovery must come first.
There is still more to do.
It may take a few more weeks.
Surprisingly, I do not feel impatient.
There is only so much I can do.
The only way forward is to do what can be done today.
Of course, there are moments of doubt.
I sometimes wonder if the project will quietly fade away before it is ever completed.
Perhaps one day I will simply call it fate and let it go.
But that, too, is only another thought passing through.
The mind still talks.
Especially at night.
Sometimes I wonder whether surgery changed me at all.
The gratitude I felt for the smallest things.
The way that gratitude slowly becomes ordinary again.
Even that feels like something to be grateful for.
Miracles are not rare.
They continue quietly, even now.
I do not mean that in any mystical sense.
It is simply the closest description I can find.
So what was today’s miracle?
That I was able to return here and write again.
For me, that is more than enough.
Truly.
