The way we see the world may simply be the way we see ourselves.
This is not a grand claim.
Just something small, worth noting.
When we try to persuade someone,
perhaps we are persuading ourselves,
through them.
It is not self-help.
It is not spirituality.
Just a quiet observation.
Which is why, in truth,
it does not need to be said to anyone.
When someone says,
“You lack something,”
it may be worth pausing for a moment.
At present,
what I lack is food.
There is another examination tomorrow.
Apparently, I am supposed to refrain from eating.
