I sorted through a pile of old receipts.
There was a time when every number reminded me of how much I had spent.
Guilt came first.
This time, it did not.
That surprised me.
What I saw instead was a record of things and experiences that had already become part of my life.
It was not wishful thinking.
It simply felt that way.
Looking through them was like looking back at photographs from a journey.
